We know that many difficult life circumstances and trauma can impact the ways young children and their caregivers relate with one another. With support, healing can happen, and young children are able to get back on a healthy developmental path and thrive. IECMH therapists strive to facilitate reflective and healing interactions, where children and their important adults learn to relate to others, regulate their emotions, communicate their needs, and navigate day-to-day challenges together. We partner with families to create a support plan specific to their circumstances, values, and culture. Services include comprehensive psychiatric assessment, brief intervention treatment, medication evaluation and management, short-term evidence-informed therapies, and skill-based group programs.  Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) program is offered for adolescents with self-harm behavior and includes individual and group therapy.  Agency provides DBHR-certified service(s).

Offers several programs that support children and parents during child’s early years and crucial stage of development. Works to make sure children's needs are met through education and nutrition. Carroll Children's Center: provides full time early education for children ages 1 month through 5 years of age. Offers a structured learning environment with bilingual staff and help from volunteers. Does not provide childcare after 6:30pm or on the weekends. Growing Hope Child & Family Development Center: expands services to low-income, high-risk children and infants through age 5, and their families. Includes 8 infant through preschool classrooms, including Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP), ECLIPSE therapeutic classrooms, and early learning classrooms. Child Care Nutrition Program: seeks to assure all children in licensed child care homes receive adequate and nutritional balanced USDA eligible meals. Provides reimbursement for nutritious snacks and meals served in family day care homes for children 1 month through 12 years of age.

Cooper House provides both mental health and occupational therapy services. Depending upon the concerns and the age of the child, we might recommend a dyadic approach, where therapist meets with the caregiver(s) and child together, or offer individual child play therapy, along with separate parent support and consultation sessions.
