SOUND's Community Networks Program (CNP) is our Lifespan Mental Health Treatment initiative for individuals aged 6 and up with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Our goal is to enhance the lives of people with IDD and mental health needs, their families, and their support systems by providing exemplary services and supports. These services emphasize local, person-centered, positive, multidisciplinary, cost-effective, and evidence-informed practices.

Central Intake/Assessment for Mental Health Services
For individuals, couples & families who desire positive change and/or are experiencing confusion, conflict or pain, help is available.
The Deaf Services program at Sound is a progressive and uniquely qualified program that brings together multi-disciplinary counseling professionals who are also specialists in working with Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Deafblind, and late-deafened adults and children. Our Clinicians are committed to addressing disparities in mental health and substance use disorder treatment by providing culturally and linguistically appropriate treatment for our unique population.
Services are available both in-person and telehealth. Deaf Services Clinicians provide effective, expert help with:
• Counseling for everyday problems or an unexpected life crisis;
• Healing from trauma;
• Enhancing relationships & communication skills;
• Resolving workplace concerns & garnering support during career transitions;
• Providing psychiatric assessments, treatment, and medication management;
• Assessing and treating substance use disorders
• Addressing the complex challenges of children & adolescents;
• Parenting support & education;
• Providing resources for and assistance with accessing other needed services such as housing.
Our Clinicians provide comprehensive, evidence-based treatment addressing mental health and substance use disorders. Our interns, associates, and licensed Clinicians offer direct access to care in sign language and understand the unique needs of Deaf, hard of hearing, DeafBlind, and late-deafened children, adults, and families.
