Provides a variety of parent education classes from the "8-week Circle of Security" to a 24-week Nurturing Program.

Offers classes and leisure activities that focus on family needs and interests such as:   -  Parenting classes -  Support groups -  Kaleidoscope Play & Learn groups (also available at Bothell United Methodist Church)   Parents must stay with children for the entire duration of the Play & Learn groups.

Facilitates one-on-one meetings with a parenting mentor, who can help clients set up a class schedule and meet for individual parenting training sessions and encouragement. Separate mentoring available for mothers and fathers. Classes meet court requirements. Topics include: -  Nurturing relationships. -  Safe places -  Healthy start -  Effective education Clients enrolled and participating in the parenting program may be eligible for additional support. Participants earn "Care Net Cash" which they can use to shop in the baby boutique, which has items like diapers, formula, clothing and baby furniture including car seats and cribs. Limited one-time assistance provided for non-participants.

Supports the well-being of families by providing a culturally-tailored early-childhood home visiting program for urban Native American and Alaskan Native children and caregivers in King County.   Provides classes to help teach parents about child development and building a supportive parenting community.

Provides a 12-week series of programs focused on strengthening parenting competencies (monitoring, positive discipline, confidence) and fostering parents' involvement in children's school experiences in order to promote children's academic, social and emotional competencies and reduce conduct problems. The parent programs are grouped according to the following ages: Babies & Toddlers (0-3 years), BASIC Early Childhood (3-6 years), and BASIC School-Age (6-12 years).

Provides education on different topics, such as pregnancy, parenting skills, life skills, and spiritual growth for parents of babies under one year of age or those expecting a baby. Attendance allows them to earn baby and maternity items.

Classes cover topics such as baby care and safety, senior health, childbirth preparation, first aid, CPR, disease management, diabetes education, emergency and safety education, and neurological and movement disorders.

Provides two parenting education programs (Mother2Mother and the Incredible Years) to help parents better their parenting skills. Mother2Mother: Offers a 10-week parenting education program for mothers of children birth to 3 years who have histories of childhood trauma. The program addresses topic such as social connection, resiliency, coping with stress, forming mother-child bonds, disciplining children, and other parenting topics relevant to mothers who have experienced trauma. The program is offered for free and childcare is provided. The Incredible Years: Offers weekly group meetings for parents where they learn about building strong relationships with their children using play and praise, as well as effective discipline strategies.  Free childcare is provided during the parenting education program.

Bi-lingual, bi-cultural staff provide support and information for Spanish speaking families in times of crisis. Offers relationship and parenting skills classes in Spanish.

Life Skills education programs teach concepts and principles relevant to a healthy lifestyle. The Early Childhood Services at OlyCAP are focused on addressing the needs of families with children age five and younger.  Preschool, early childhood development, child care and family support services are offered at sites throughout Clallam and Jefferson counties.  Children enrolled receive a developmental screening, an individualized learning plan, at least two meals each day and an active learning experience on days they attend the center.  In addition to children services, each family enrolled receives support in accessing medical and dental care for their child, parenting education, home visits and help with finding needed services or resources in the community. Head Start/Early Head Start Head Start and Early Head Start programs promote school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of children through the provision of educational, health, nutritional, social and other services to enrolled children and families.  The program strives to engage parents in their children’s leaning and help them in making progress toward their educational, literacy and employment goals.  Additionally, the Early Head Start program promotes healthy prenatal outcomes, promotes healthy family functioning, and strengthens the development of infants and toddlers. Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP) The Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program is a whole-child, family-focused pre-school program designed to help low-income and at-risk children and their families succeed in school and life.  Because of the many factors that affect a child’s learning ability and development, ECEAP has four interactive components.  They are: learning in a pre-school setting, health screening and assistance with follow-up medical and dental care, healthy snacks and meals, and family support including help accessing resources and social service. Offers three series of 5 classes to help guide parents of teens. Class topics focus on some of the larger concerns parents have about their developing teen.

This four hour seminar focuses on children’s unique needs prior to separation, during divorce, and in other family residential changes. Learn about developmental stages, the grief process, positive ways to communicate with your child’s other parent and much more. This seminar is approved by the Kitsap County Superior Court for parents involved in divorce, legal separation, or paternity actions. Please visit the Kitsap County Superior Court website to learn more about this court requirement. We do not allow co-parents to attend the same class without additional documentation. Contact the class coordinator to receive the proper paperwork if you and your co-parent wish to attend the same class.

This 4-hour class offers an overview of researchers’ current understanding of the best approach for supporting children when they live separately from one or both parents.   Participants receive a certificate at the completion of the class.

Offers a range of free workshops, groups, and services for parents in the South Sound region. PowerParenting workshop provides learnings about various parenting topics and offers a chance for parents to connect online once a month.

The program is specifically designed for families facing difficult life circumstances and parents who desire to develop family-building skills. Parenting Class: Parents learn the Positive Behavior Intervention Supports system, used by many school districts. Parents have the opportunity to connect on a deeper level not only with their own families, but with their peers. Kids Groups: Kids learn the life skills necessary to understand, talk about, and cope with what is happening in their lives in healthy, positive ways. Kids meet at the same time as Parenting Class.

Multi-service family support program offers outpatient mental health services for children and families. Services include case management, brief intervention treatment, less restrictive alternative support and family, group and individual therapy.  Agency provides DBHR-certified service(s).

Provides training, information and resources to parents, individuals with disabilities and professionals regarding issues of education. Provides one-on-one support and coordinate workshops in communities throughout Washington. Publishes PAVE Pipeline, a quarterly newsletter, for subscribers which offers information about upcoming workshops and articles of interest. Provides referrals to support groups for parents of children with disabilities.

Provides monthly structured discussion groups, socialization opportunities, and educational programming about common issues for grandfamilies, which includes strategies for supporting relative children of all ages, abilities, and identities, specialized information and referral services with connections to community resources.

Offers state certified Domestic Violence Intervention Treatment (DVIT), and Anger management assessments and therapy programs. Offers referrals for advocacy on victim’s issues.
