Supports the well-being of families by providing a culturally-tailored early-childhood home visiting program for urban Native American and Alaskan Native children and caregivers in King County.   Provides classes to help teach parents about child development and building a supportive parenting community.

Parents as Teachers Partners with parents to support their child’s growth and development. Twice-monthly visits focus on learning through play, understanding the stages of child development, helping through the inevitable challenges of parenting, and supporting overall family well-being. Kaleidoscope Play & Learn Also offers weekly, bi-lingual playgroups. Parent Cafe's Playgroups include open play time, art projects, structured movement or song time, stories, parent support/coaching, and time to connect with other adults. Welcome Baby Boxes Gives parents essential supplies for their new babies. The baby box includes a sleep sack, washcloths, a Vashon onesie, and a hand-made quilt, along with parenting books and a Thriftway gift card. Clothing, diapers and some baby supplies are also available.

Program designed to help pregnant women receive the medical and social services they may need. All pregnant women covered under Medicaid (WA Apple Health) are eligible for services. Offers a team that helps advise and support mothers through their pregnancy. Team includes a: - Registered Nurse - Nutritionist - Behavioral Health Specialist - Community Health Worker - an Infant Case Manager. Services are provided wherever convenient for participants whether that be in home, clinic or in the community. Provides two parenting education programs (Mother2Mother and the Incredible Years) to help parents better their parenting skills. Mother2Mother: Offers a 10-week parenting education program for mothers of children birth to 3 years who have histories of childhood trauma. The program addresses topic such as social connection, resiliency, coping with stress, forming mother-child bonds, disciplining children, and other parenting topics relevant to mothers who have experienced trauma. The program is offered for free and childcare is provided. The Incredible Years: Offers weekly group meetings for parents where they learn about building strong relationships with their children using play and praise, as well as effective discipline strategies.  Free childcare is provided during the parenting education program.

Bi-lingual, bi-cultural staff provide support and information for Spanish speaking families in times of crisis. Offers relationship and parenting skills classes in Spanish.

Life Skills education programs teach concepts and principles relevant to a healthy lifestyle. FPYF’s prevention efforts span many risky behaviors including both substance abuse and youth violence. FPYF strives to make connections in the community that facilitate increased prevention, interventions and family support as well as local community connections and local resources.

Provides family support through its Young Children and Family Programs of the Palouse (YCFP), which offers home visiting and group-based parenting programs for families in Whitman County. Boost Collaborative strives to build on each family's individual strengths and abilities rather than identifying and fixing a "problem." Services are provided at no or minimal cost to families. PREPARES Baby Supply Bags: provides basic baby supplies, based on the age of the child and can include diapers, wipes, formula, clothing, books, and toys. Family Companions: provide an opportunity for a pregnant or parenting family to be matched with a trained family companion volunteer who gives the family ongoing support and encouragement. Find comfort and guidance with the support of a family companion who has walked the path of parenthood and empathize with its joys and struggles. Play and Learn Groups: facilitates play groups to support early brain development and kindergarten readiness: play group curriculum is based on the latest research in early childhood brain development and family engagement. Play groups give parents and informal caregivers a free, accessible place to meet other families and get support. Sessions are held weekly in community spaces in the child’s own neighborhood and language. Parents as Teachers (PAT): develops curricula, trains early childhood professionals, and certifies parent educators to work with parents to provide them with parenting support and information on their developing child.
