Offers kids the support they need to thrive from birth to graduation and beyond. - Before and After School Care: the Y works hand in hand with schools to extend learning, encourage active play, and give kids the opportunity to discover what they love. - Early Learning: kids are encouraged to use their creativity, develop new skills, and play with peers. - Summer Day Camp: the Y's Summer Camp and Break Camps are designed to keep kids engaged and having fun while learning and spending time with friends, old and new.

Provides enriching learning experiences for parents and their preschoolers, two to five years of age.   Parents assist in the classroom two to three times a month.

Extended hour childcare provided in local school districts.  Licensed centers include developmentally appropriate learning activities.  Literacy curriculum focuses on use and appreciation of oral language, printed language and listening comprehension.  Meals provided.  

Food and clothing available. The Resource Bank is open M-F, from 10am-1pm, and Thursday evening from 7-8pm, or contact the office for an appointment.

Offers an early learning preschool program and an academically enriched school age program. Open year round serving ages 14 months up to age 13 years. Additionally the Tacoma Day preschool is combined with Washington State ECEAP. The preschool program is aligned with Washington State K through 12 WA kids using: Creative Curriculum, Teaching Strategies GOLD assessment and ASQ, a parent driven developmental tool. These tools allow teachers and parents to work together to individualize program for their child. If a preschool child has an IEP the child can be bused to and from their Tacoma School District partial day program and combine with Tacoma Day Preschool for a full day. School children are served by Tacoma Public Schools District 10. are transported to Bryant, Grant, Edna Travis and Impact schools Tacoma Day actively participates in Early Achievers, the quality rating system of Washington State. Breakfast, lunch, and snack are provided at no additional cost and meet CACFP standards. Tacoma Day, a non-profit, has been in business since 1911.

On-campus child care for children 3 months to 5 years old. Licensed by the Department of Early Learning. Students must be enrolled in 6 credits and maintain academic progress to qualify for childcare.

Provides childcare for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. DSHS Childcare Subsidy, Homeless childcare voucher, military childcare assistance accepted

Head Start and ECEAP services promote school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of children by providing educational, health, nutritional, social and other services to children and families, including developmental screening. Parental involvement is emphasized. Services for parents include parenting classes, parent support and networking. Partial-day and full-day services provided. Program accommodates children with special needs or disabilities.

Provides affordable child care to all families. Helps children develop personal self-control, independence, and the ability to make choices. Specially selected activities develop social, emotional, physical, and intellectual skills. Strongly encourages and welcomes parent involvement. Preschool, Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP), and Head Start available.

Offers developmentally appropriate activities in curriculum areas such as large and small motor skill development, music, science, dramatic play, art, literature, and math.   Emphasizes the value of play and hands-on experience as children grow physically, intellectually, emotionally, and socially.

Staff provide quality care through a daily schedule of activities geared to each child's developmental level. Daily activities include but are not limited to, art, choice time, circle / book time, gross motor time and a variety of other activities like field trips. We provide care for school aged children before and after school and on non school days. Summer programming includes field trips, and extra play day activities consistent with summertime fun.

Offers early childhood education for children from the broader community, accepts Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) subsidies, as well as offer need-based discounts to help keep early childhood education affordable for all families. Also believes in children’s innate curiosity and desire to learn while using an emergent curriculum that encourages children to ask questions and think critically. Places a strong focus on social and emotional growth, including building empathy, perspective-taking, and conflict resolution skills.

Offers childcare and pre-school for children 1 month to 6 years of age.

Provides before and after school child care for school aged children in grades K-6. Activities include homework help, supervised play, snacks, outdoor time, projects, and service learning opportunities. Typically held at an elementary school.

Offers childcare for parents enrolled in Pierce County treatment services. Serve families who are able to transport their child to MCFHC, based on availability.
