The New Parent Support Team (NPST) is a voluntary program for expectant/new Navy parents.  Home visitation is the core service, with a focus on the health needs of infants and toddlers, prenatal and postnatal care, parent education, family/social support, and resources within the community.  Services focus on supporting the parent as well as parent-child interaction and child development.

Services include maternal/child health; primary care; Elder Screen; WIC; Twelve-Teen Program; First Steps & Teen Pregnancy Coordinator; Community Health Nursing; and Community Health Representatives. Offers special health care need for children with disabilities and the First Step program. Promotes an integrated system of services for infants, children and youth up to age 18 years who have or are at risk for chronic physical, developmental, behavioral, or emotional conditions and require health and related services of a type or amount beyond what is generally needed. The nurse is able to help families navigate through complex medical systems and connect with resources. Provides home or office nursing visits for assessment, referral and health education through the second month after the baby is born.

Maternal Health Services provides community-based programs and services focused on providing preventive health and education for growing families throughout Central Washington. With a staff dedicated to giving families a healthy, hopeful start in life, Maternal Health Services offers programs in genetic counseling, maternity support services, maternal child health home visiting and coordination of regional perinatal improvement programs.
