Extended hour childcare provided in local school districts.  Licensed centers include developmentally appropriate learning activities.  Literacy curriculum focuses on use and appreciation of oral language, printed language and listening comprehension.  Meals provided.  

Provides early learning opportunities for children ages birth to 5. Prioritizes low-income students and students with developmental delays. Early Head Start: A qualified home visitor will visit home once a week for 90 minutes to share fun activities designed to advance child’s development. Locally Designed Option: Offers a hybrid-- in-class and home visiting for 2 year-olds. Head Start/ECEAP Offers center-based preschool programs with locations throughout Kitsap and Mason Counties. Students may attend full-time/part year or part-time/part-year depending on need and availability. Breakfast or lunch is provided depending upon the time of class.

The Early Childhood Services at OlyCAP are focused on addressing the needs of families with children age five and younger.  Preschool, early childhood development, child care and family support services are offered at sites throughout Clallam and Jefferson counties.  Children enrolled receive a developmental screening, an individualized learning plan, at least two meals each day and an active learning experience on days they attend the center.  In addition to children services, each family enrolled receives support in accessing medical and dental care for their child, parenting education, home visits and help with finding needed services or resources in the community. Head Start/Early Head Start Head Start and Early Head Start programs promote school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of children through the provision of educational, health, nutritional, social and other services to enrolled children and families.  The program strives to engage parents in their children’s leaning and help them in making progress toward their educational, literacy and employment goals.  Additionally, the Early Head Start program promotes healthy prenatal outcomes, promotes healthy family functioning, and strengthens the development of infants and toddlers. Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP) The Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program is a whole-child, family-focused pre-school program designed to help low-income and at-risk children and their families succeed in school and life.  Because of the many factors that affect a child’s learning ability and development, ECEAP has four interactive components.  They are: learning in a pre-school setting, health screening and assistance with follow-up medical and dental care, healthy snacks and meals, and family support including help accessing resources and social service. The Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP) is Washington's comprehensive pre-kindergarten program serving at-risk three and four year old children and their families. ECEAP provides children with preschool education, health services, intensive family support, and parent engagement and training.

Washington state’s comprehensive preschool program, The Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP), is designed to serve 3 and 4-year-old children and their families who meet the income and environmental eligibility criteria, and it is available for free. ECEAP is committed to preparing children for kindergarten through education, health and nutrition services, family support, advocacy training, and parent education.

Headstart preschool which serves 48 low-income children; runs May through November. An ECEAP preschool which serves low income children; runs October through May.

Provides early preschool education for children 3-5 years old in 7 communities throughout Whitman County. Provides learning environments that foster intellectual, social, physical, and emotional growth. Assists families with support, community resource referrals, and health screenings for each child within the first 90 days of program enrollment. Evaluates child's medical, dental, and mental health, and nutritional needs.

Assists families, childcare providers, and community partners in providing quality early learning and school readiness programs, and professional development opportunities. Offers referrals to Early Head Start, ECEAP, childcare, and parent-child groups.

Offers several programs that support children and parents during child’s early years and crucial stage of development. Works to make sure children's needs are met through education and nutrition. Carroll Children's Center: provides full time early education for children ages 1 month through 5 years of age. Offers a structured learning environment with bilingual staff and help from volunteers. Does not provide childcare after 6:30pm or on the weekends. Growing Hope Child & Family Development Center: expands services to low-income, high-risk children and infants through age 5, and their families. Includes 8 infant through preschool classrooms, including Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP), ECLIPSE therapeutic classrooms, and early learning classrooms. Child Care Nutrition Program: seeks to assure all children in licensed child care homes receive adequate and nutritional balanced USDA eligible meals. Provides reimbursement for nutritious snacks and meals served in family day care homes for children 1 month through 12 years of age.

Provides affordable childcare. Helps children develop self-control, independence, and the ability to make choices. Parent involvement is encouraged. Preschool, Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP), and Head Start are available as well.

Programs include: - Birth to Three: Developmental screening and service delivery program for infants and toddlers with developmental concerns. - Child Find: Developmental screening for preschoolers (3-5 years old) to determine if a child has possible delays and might be in need of further evaluation. - ECEAP: Offers education, nutrition and health services to income eligible children, ages 3 and 4. Provides age appropriate information for parents of children birth to age five relating to cognitive and social/emotional skills needed to prepare a child to enter kindergarten. Provides kindergarten readiness seminars for parents of children birth to age five.

Helps families build on their strengths, find support networks, and promote overall well-being, through various programs. Parent Education - Incredible Years Parent Training: helps parents understand how to build a positive relationship with their child. Available at the Wenatchee Family Resource Center or in-home. Currently provided through a contract with DCYF. Families are referred by their social worker. - Project Safe Care: boosts parenting skills, while teaching how to improve the health of the child. Currently provided through a contract with DCYF. Families are referred by their social worker. -Triple P: evidence- based program boosts parenting skills. Currently provided through a contract with DCYF. Families are referred by their social worker. - Triple Point: Local program for LGBTQ+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, intersex) youth, 12 to 18 years old. Provides a safe place where youth can make positive connections, learn about community resources, receive the support they need, receive counseling, as well as participate in regular meetings with other LGBTQ+ youth and group leaders. School Success - Readiness to Learn: works with children so they can be successful in school and in the community. Serves students in the Entiat, Eastmont and Wenatchee school districts. - Truancy Invention Program: gives students a boost to help improve attendance. Serves students in the Wenatchee School District in partnership with Chelan County Juvenile Center.
