Operates a full-time, quality child care center for families living in the Tacoma Public School District. Offers: - Information on infant/toddler development; - Family support and health services. The Early Childhood Education Assistance Program (ECEAP) is a comprehensive preschool program that provides free services and support to eligible children and their families.

Operates more than 30 Head Start/ECEAP/Early Head Start centers in Spokane County. Provides support for families, encourages parent involvement and coordinates child health care and nutrition. Head Start/ECEAP: Offers full- and partial-day preschool programs for children ages 3-pre-kindergarten. Early Head Start: Child development program provided at the center and in-home for families during pregnancy and those with infants and toddlers up to age 3.

An early learning center with ECEAP and an academically responsive school age program. School children are bussed to Bryant, Grant, Edna Travis and Impact schools Serves children 14 months to 12 years of age. Actively participates in Early Achievers, the quality rating system of Washington State (Tacoma Day is at level 4). Free Preschool, ECEAP/Head Start available on site for income qualified families. Breakfast, lunch, and snack are provided at no additional cost and meet CACFP standards.

Assists families, childcare providers, and community partners in providing quality early learning and school readiness programs, and professional development opportunities. Offers referrals to Early Head Start, ECEAP, childcare, and parent-child groups.

Offers screenings throughout the school year to help identify children aged 34 months to 5 years old who may need special services in order to experience success in school. Special services can include occupational, physical and/or speech therapies, or a specialized early childhood program. Screenings will not show conclusively that a child has special needs, but it will indicate if he or she may need further assessment. Early Childhood Education Assistance Program - ECEAP Program is administered to Dieringer School District families through Pierce County Human Services Offers free preschool to low-income families with four year old children. Offers several programs that support children and parents during child’s early years and crucial stage of development. Works to make sure children's needs are met through education and nutrition. Carroll Children's Center: provides full time early education for children ages 1 month through 5 years of age. Offers a structured learning environment with bilingual staff and help from volunteers. Does not provide childcare after 6:30pm or on the weekends. Growing Hope Child & Family Development Center: expands services to low-income, high-risk children and infants through age 5, and their families. Includes 8 infant through preschool classrooms, including Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP), ECLIPSE therapeutic classrooms, and early learning classrooms. Child Care Nutrition Program: seeks to assure all children in licensed child care homes receive adequate and nutritional balanced USDA eligible meals. Provides reimbursement for nutritious snacks and meals served in family day care homes for children 1 month through 12 years of age.

Provides a life enrichment program offering classroom learning for preschool children of low-income families. Parents work with the staff to provide a positive experience for the entire family.

Early Head Start services promote school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of infants and toddlers by providing educational, health, nutritional, social and other services to enrolled children and families, including developmental screenings. Services for parents include home visits, parenting classes, parent support and networking. Full day/full year center-based or home-based models are available.

Provides early learning opportunities for children ages birth to 5. Prioritizes low-income students and students with developmental delays. Early Head Start: A qualified home visitor will visit home once a week for 90 minutes to share fun activities designed to advance child’s development. Locally Designed Option: Offers a hybrid-- in-class and home visiting for 2 year-olds. Head Start/ECEAP Offers center-based preschool programs with locations throughout Kitsap and Mason Counties.
