Head Start & Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP) offered at Educational Opportunities for Children and Families

Head Start and ECEAP services promote school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of children by providing educational, health, nutritional, social and other services to children and families, including developmental screening. Parental involvement is emphasized. Services for parents include parenting classes, parent support and networking. Partial-day and full-day services provided. Program accommodates children with special needs or disabilities.

Eligibility

Aged 3 - 5 years. Enrollment priority goes to children most in need, including:   - Children living in poverty (130% of Federal Poverty Level). - Children with disabilities or serious health/mental health concerns. - Children from families affected by mental health issues, child abuse or neglect, incarceration, parent illness/disability, domestic violence, substance abuse, homelessness, foster care or serious concerns.

Educational Opportunities for Children and Families

Sponsors Head Start, Early Head Start, and the Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP), serving children ages 0-5 and pregnant women. In addition to early childhood education, families receive social services designed to support their individual strengths and needs. Also sponsors HotShots Youth Sports Program.
